Learning about the keys to energy efficiency in buildings… Grupo Tecma Red and SDE, present the Ist Congress on Nearly Zero Emission Buildings

-          The Congress will take place next 7th and 8th of May at Ifema South Auditorium, within the framework of International Construction Week.

-          Nearly Zero Emission Buildings will be the first major meeting to discuss implementation of Directive 2010/31/EU and the starting point for a new market.

Official presentation was made this morning of the Ist Congress on Nearly Zero Emission Buildings, which will take place within the framework of International Construction Week (Veteco, Piedra & Construtec) next 7th and 8th of May at Ifema South Auditorium.

In this first edition, the aim of the meeting is to create a discussion forum to tackle the implications adoption of the new Directive of the European Parliament on Energetic Efficiency of Buildings (Directive 2010/31/EU). will have for the field of architecture and construction. This means that by December 31st 2020, all newly-constructed buildings will be nearly zero emission buildings.

Aimed at specification professionals and companies related to the building and energy sector (architects, engineers, builders and developers, material and equipment manufacturers, installers, public administration…), the Congress will introduce the broad legal, technical and management spectrum accompanying the novelties in this type of construction work.

To date, more than 300 people have registered and an average of 400 is expected to attend the congress. The registration period is still open until 3rd May at www.congreso-edificios-energia-casi-nula.es.

The Ist Congress on Nearly Zero Emission Buildings is organized by Grupo Tecma Red, through its portals Construible and Eseficiencia, and by Solar Decathlon Europe. It is also counting on institutional support and collaboration on the part of IFEMA, IDAE, CSCAE and COAM.

Solar Decathlon Europe (SDE) will also be present, within the scope of its outreach and promotion of energy efficiency, with other activities at International Construction Week in Madrid, such as exhibition of the 20 models of houses from the teams participating in the competition in September, and with the second edition of the Professional Encounter of Multidisciplinary Teams in Building Projects.
